Updated 7/20/25. We have visited the park several times and found this strategy to be effective. It involves planning your day around Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry, which also assumes you have early entry. We will need to post a strategy for a visit without staying on property in the future. At the bottom is a TL;DR list of the attractions and the order in which we visited them. Also, subscribe to our YouTube Channel to follow along with our visual storytelling. Keep in mind, this worked for us a couple of times and you may need to pivot, but we wanted to help you get in the zone with the thought process on Epic’s attractions
Early Morning: Epic Universe Arrival

- They are letting Universal Orlando Resort guests in an hour before the official opening. When this happens, Stardust Racers and Super Nintendo World are open. We suggest that you get the Nintendo World attractions done during this time. We noticed on both mornings that you can get Mine Kart Madness and Bowser’s Challenge completed before opening. Especially with everyone queuing up over at the Harry Potter Portal. We would skip Yoshi in the morning and come back for it when you want to explore Super Nintendo World later in the day. Getting in an hour early means you need to be parked and walking towards the gate 90 minutes before park opening.
- 7/20 Updated thoughts on Super Nintendo World in the AM. We have noticed that Bowser & DK get up to around 45 minutes fast in the AM. If you want to be efficient, prioritize one of these during early entry, move towards another portal before opening, and return for the other line later. DK’s line is slow, and we would avoid it if it is over 60 minutes long early in the day. We prefer to wait in queues when the sun is gone.
- Also, as of this update on 7/20, Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry is using a traditional standby line. The way that the mornings have been going with everyone rushing the line and also the attraction starting up late we would save this until last on your list. Also, to that point Typically, our advice to anyone going to Epic is not to build your day around HP, as it is just too much of a gamble. We prefer to save that line for later in the evening. By that time, you would have had a great day, and then you can get in line and extend your day if it goes past closing. If the ride breaks down, you didn’t waste any precious time with it either.
Later Morning

- As the park opening approaches, you will want to prioritize heading to one of the portals. If you had early entry, you have already conquered Mario Kart and DK. If you don’t have early entry, stay away from Super Nintendo World early on, as hotel guests will have this land filled up already.
- Get in Line for Monsters Unchained, which should be relatively short at this time
- When you exit Monsters check the line for Curse of the Wolfman, We wouldn’t get in this line if it is over 30 minutes this early in the day. We noticed it sort of dies off so far during the AP previews we have been to.

Lunch

- Around this time you may be getting hungry, and we suggest heading over to Isle of Berk to grab food from the Spit Fyre Grill, You can flip flop these next steps based on the wait times in the app.
- In Isle of Berk you will want to prioritize the Untrainable dragon show. Also, of note if you want to do the dragon meet & Greet it will take around an hour of your time so plan accordingly if it is important to you.
- Now onto the rides in Isle of Berk, If you want to get soaked go on Fire Drill and use the cute dryers outside of the attraction to dry off.
- Head over to Dragon Racers and Hicup’s Wing Gliders and get in line for the shorter one and then do the other one after that.
Later Afternoon

Checking your app at this point, you have Constellation Carousel, Yoshi’s Adventure, Stardust Racers, and Curse of the Wolfman left, and Le Cirque Arcanus in WWoHP. You can do these in whatever order they make sense for us it was Yoshi, Carousel, Stardust Racers, and Le Cirque Arcanus
- Head back into Super Nintendo World to explore and ride Yoshi’s Adventure if you haven’t already
- Hits some brick’s and ?s while you are there
- Go on Constellation Carousel which hasn’t been carrying a long wait during the previews
- Go to Star Dust Racers or Curse of the Wolfman based on their waits (shorter wait first)
- Grab some Dinner we highly recommend Moon Pizza in Celestial park
- Finish off your day with La Cirque Arcanus (check the times in the app sometimes it does not run late during previews.)
- Finally in the last 15 minutes of your day grab a Butterbeer and get in line for HP!

There you have it, a one-day itinerary. We highly suggest grabbing a Universal hotel so that you can get early entry it will help you a lot. Also, we really suggest doing HP last so that you aren’t wasting your time in line while the park is open. Get in line right before the park closes and enjoy the queue! The main point here is that we are trying to steer you away from a couple of time-syncs, most notably Yoshi and Wolfman, as we have seen those queues drop as the day progresses. Keep an eye out for our YouTube channel for our VLOGs on Epic Universe. Also, let us know your thoughts on this itinerary. Did it work for you?

Looks like a fun day. Thanks for sharing. I always appreciate all of ideas to make adventures more enjoyable.
