Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry is the latest addition to Universal Studios Orlando’s Wizarding World of Harry Potter (WWoHP). This attraction is located at Epic Universe. Universal is currently utilizing a virtual queue to experience this ride. This quick guide is designed to prepare you for joining the virtual queue. We haven’t failed yet with our strategy, so we hope you can find value in this article. As always, you can subscribe to us on YouTube to see our visual storytelling as well. We have lots of Epic Universe VLOGs to share with you! Let’s go!
To join a Virtual, you must be located in or close to Epic Universe. This is completely determined by geofencing and is not exact. Also, you will need the Universal App to join.
- Step 1 Open the App
- Step 2 Click on Epic Universe
- Step 3 Click on Wizarding World of Harry Potter
- Step 4 Click Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry (Screenshots below)
- Step 5 Make sure to select your party size and pick a time slot
- Step 6 you should receive a QR code if not keep trying throughout the day as slots opening up randomly currently
Once you click on the attraction, the screen below will show up, and if it says “Virtual Line” underneath the attraction name, click that to select your party size and time slot.

If you get the screenshot below, keep trying as time slots refresh a lot during the day. Swiping right on the app refreshes this.

If you succeed you will get a QR code in the app like the screenshot below and that is it!

Conclusion on Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry

The newest attraction at the WWoHP is truly remarkable, from the impressive queue design to the engaging ride experience; it offers a complete and immersive storytelling adventure. However, I would advise everyone reading this that for the foreseeable future, you may not be able to experience this ride until the technical difficulties are resolved. Adjust your expectations accordingly to avoid disappointment. This has the feeling of Star Wars Rise of the Resistance surrounding it, but we feel the issues are probably more solvable in this case. Here’s hoping the virtual queue doesn’t last too long. What are your thoughts? Have you experienced this attraction yet?
Great post thanks
