Nestled within the enchanting realm of Walt Disney World Resort, Disney’s Contemporary Resort stands long stood as a resort we needed to stay at once. This iconic hotel, recognized by its A-frame structure and monorail gliding gracefully through the lobby, offers a magical stay for those who cherish both comfort and convenience. A bucket list item for sure we have dreamed of trying out the resort and finally the stars aligned with us and we booked a one night stay. Upon arrival, guests are greeted by a sleek yet welcoming atmosphere that sets the tone for an extraordinary vacation. The lobby is a masterpiece of contemporary design, with large, open spaces and towering murals that pay homage to classic Disney whimsy.
The rooms at Disney’s Contemporary Resort are themed to the Incredibles. This theme actually works for us. With crisp linens, plush bedding, and modern amenities, each space is crafted for relaxation. The floor-to-ceiling windows frame stunning views of the Magic Kingdom, allowing guests to witness the nightly fireworks display from the comfort of their rooms.
Culinary delights abound within the resort’s dining options. The crown jewel is certainly the California Grill, located at the top of the resort with panoramic vistas that are as delightful as the cuisine. Pair the breathtaking view with their exquisite sushi and a world-class wine list, and you’ve got the perfect recipe for a memorable evening. We opted for takeout from Steakhouse 72 and the burger did not disappoint! One of the best burgers on property for sure!
One cannot review Disney’s Contemporary Resort without mentioning its unmatched proximity to the Magic Kingdom. Guests can either stroll along the scenic pathway to the park gates or hop on the monorail for an expedient arrival, emphasizing the resort’s prime location. Even when it is hot out this is a manageable walk.
The pool area is very basic but does provides a refreshing escape after a day of park hopping. With a water slide, cabanas, and a quiet pool, there is something for everyone. Parents can relax while children engage in activities organized by the ever-enthusiastic Disney staff.
In conclusion, Disney’s Contemporary Resort offers the perfect blend of Disney magic and modern luxury. Whether venturing through the parks or enjoying the resort’s amenities, guests of all ages will find joy and enchantment around every corner.
Was it worth the cost? Well we booked it with a Florida discount in the middle of hurricane season, so for us a bug YES!
