Our favorite creators of speculative maps, Horror Night Nightmares, have just released version three for Halloween Horror Nights 32 (HHN 32), and we’re really excited about it! What’s even better is that HHN 32 is starting next month, can you believe it? Well, technically it’s starting on September 1st, but that’s practically next month! Just keep in mind that these are speculative maps, so a lot of this information may change over the next 7 weeks. But it’s definitely a blast to discuss and speculate about!
Currently, we have two official announcements, which are Chucky and The Last of Us. We anticipate another announcement in the coming week. This brings us to Stranger Things 4! It would be fantastic to maintain the excitement for Stranger Things by having a captivating maze. Season four has numerous thrilling moments that would make for an excellent maze experience. We are eager to witness Max floating while Vecna lurks around every corner!
We didn’t release version 2 of the speculation map, so the changes are significant compared to the first speculation map. This version has scare zones and mazes. The scare zones in particular sound very entertaining, especially with the rumor of a M3GAN roaming group in the Simpsons area. In previous HHNs, this area is filled with scare actors equipped with chainsaws. The idea of multiple M3GANs running around in this area is truly incredible, don’t you think? Who wouldn’t love seeing that?
Completing the other scare zones for HHN 32 are Carnival of Oddities, Vamp 69, Zodiac symbols, a horn symbol resembling Krampus, and Jungle. Scare zones are sections you walk through in HHN on your way to the mazes, and they greatly influence the overall theme of the event. When you first enter, you encounter a scare zone, which is speculated to be Carnival of Oddities this year. This aligns with the circulating rumors about a Dr Oddfellow maze.
Dr. Odd Fellow knows the famous Horror Nights character Jack Schmidt very well and was Jack’s boss. This is a big deal for fans of Horror Nights to have a scare zone and maze connected to one of the most popular characters, Jack! I really hope the scare zone and maze happen!

Completing the remaining rumored mazes, let’s begin with another one that we strongly believe will be created, and that is The Exorcist. It is highly probable that this maze will be based on the latest Exorcist film, The Exorcist Believer. Since the movie is presented as a sequel, they can effectively incorporate elements from both the previous film and the new one to craft an exceptionally terrifying maze.
Now let’s address the castle with dragon maze. There are a lot of rumors circulating among the fans that this is going to be based on dueling dragons. Those of you who are longtime Universal fanatics know that this was a dueling roller coaster attraction in Islands of Adventure. If they go all out on the dragons, this could be an amazing experience, but we shall see.
Universal Monsters Paris doesn’t wow me in name, however. Last year’s Legends Collide for Universal Monsters was legendary, and this one has a lot to live up to. The set design of Legends Collide was creepy in the sense you had to crawl your way through catacombs, and deal with some awful smells while being scared around every corner by Wolfman, The Mummy, and Dracula themselves.
The guitar maze morphed into an acoustic guitar with horns, and my only guess is Tenacious D, which would be truly amazing for us, but doesn’t make sense in the overall music landscape. Earlier in the season, the guitar had a Metallica symbol, which would have lined up with their new album.
Leaving the village with the star, and the trees with the scratch in them. We don’t have any good guesses for the village maze, but the tree with the animal scratch is intriguing. Would HHN be daring and do cocaine bear as a maze? Stay tuned for more official announcements right here!

What type of event is Halloween Horror Nights (HHN) you ask? It is an event aimed at teens and up. I wouldn’t suggest young ones to visit this event as the crowd can be a bit rough. There are plenty of alcohol being served and graphic scenes from horror movies being played out in the park. The event happens on select evenings during September and October which is the Halloween season for Universal, unlike Disney which starts in August.
