Halloween Horror nights is a hard-ticket event held at Universal Studios on both coasts. This is one of our favorite events of the year and also one we have visited religiously yearly. This post will explore the speculation of which mazes will be included for the event this year. None of this is official and could turn out to be way off up but enjoy the ride.
First off, what type of event is Halloween Horror Nights you ask? It is an event aimed at teens and up. I wouldn’t suggest young ones to visit this event as the crowd can be a bit rough. There is plenty of alcohol being served and also graphic scenes from horror movies being played out in the park. The event happens on weekends during September and October which is the Halloween season.
Halloween Horror Nights 2022 Dates
Here are the dates for Halloween Horror Nights 2022 at Universal Studios Florida
- Sept. 2, 3, 4, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 15, 16, 17, 18, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 28, 29, 30
- Oct. 1, 2, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31
If you plan on going, we suggest trying to avoid weekends. Fridays and Saturdays create massive lines for the mazes. If you do decide to go on a weekend and only have one night, I would also suggest grabbing a Express Pass which allows you to skip the regular line once per maze. We aren’t saying you can’t get all the mazes done without the Express Pass but it really helps on the weekends. If you don’t grab the Express Pass, plan on getting to Halloween Horror Nights as early as possible to hit all the mazes. My gripe with that is the sun is still out and can ruin the element of creepy.
Speculation Mazes
The speculation map pictured above comes courtesy of Horror Night Nightmares. So my first glance of these rumors has me excited! Remember though, these are not official and when news breaks we will let you all know. Here is the list:
- Universal Monsters: The Mummy vs. The Wolfman
- Seaside Village
- Fear Street
- The Last of Us
- The Curse of Pandora’s Box
- El Chupacabra
- Underground Creatures
- The Evil Dead
- Halloween
- The Weeknd
Thoughts on the Mazes
Where do we start with all of these wonderful mazes. We are really excited to see if The Last of Us will make it in officially. Being one of our favorite games on PlayStation, we couldn’t be more excited to be able to run through a maze being chased by the infected. This maze makes sense for Horror Nights as the HBO show is due out in 2023 and this can help that hype train. This is our number maze for the year if it comes true.
Another maze we are excited for if true is the inclusion of Halloween. What can be said or shown of Michael Myers at this point. It is our favorite horror franchise though that stems back to my childhood. With the third movie coming out this Halloween season, it only make sense to bring Michael back to Horror Nights. The picture on the left is a good example as to why you need to show up early for HHN or grab the Express Pass. You see it is sitting nicely at 70 minutes.
In closing, we feel this lineup of mazes would be excellent if they all come true. From our two favorites discussed and other properties like “The Evil Dead”, and of course the Universal Monsters maze that rotates on which monsters are included yearly.
Just remember some tips — arrive early if you don’t buy the Express Pass, avoid Friday & Saturday. The lines become a lot shorter the closer to closing time you get. And the biggest tip, DON’T GO ALONE!!!!!
TY for the kind words
