We are excited to share our favorite Festival, the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts. We were on hand for the first day of the festival and have loads to report on, so grab your favorite paintbrush or drink and join us as we cover the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts. Also you can check out our YouTube Channel for our Festival of the Arts VLOG (coming very soon)!!
Festival of the Arts is quite a unique event versus the other three EPCOT events in that you get a great mix of food, entertainment, theming, and art! To that point, our favorite aspect of this event is interacting with the artists. We could be biased as we have a talented artist in the house, but we like interacting with people in their crafts and asking questions about pieces they made or their style while creating pieces. Be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel when we post or VLOG about this event. We interviewed Rob Kaz who has amazing stuff!
As with any festival, there is an abundance of food to sample, and we made a few loops around the World Showcase to revisit some of our favorites as well as explore new options. Below, you’ll find several menus we captured in photos, along with our impressions of the food we enjoyed, which ultimately consisted of offerings from just one food booth, as many selections were similar or the lines were prohibitively long. A useful tip to dodge the crowds is to steer clear of the festival’s opening day and Saturdays, if possible.
We decided to try out opening bites for food. This is the food booth on the outside of the CommuniCore Hall. So far this booth has had some amazing bites for all of the festivals and it is no different with Festival of the Arts. If you would like to see every food option for the Festival check out our preview article here.
Opening Bites offered three food options and we really enjoyed to the two savory items. The Soft Shelled Crab slider had a really good taste to it once you got to the middle of it and the Chive and Potato scone tasted like a fully loaded Red Lobster biscuit which left us want more of each. There is even caviar on it, how fancy!
Conclusion on EPCOT Festival of the Arts
As we head out of the festival article we want to emphasize on the activities that are available to everyone at the Arts festival. There is chalk art both professional and amateur meaning you can join in. There is the Disney on Broadway series which we will showcase on our YouTube channel (so be sure to subscribe there) All of this happens in the middle of EPCOT which is already a legendary theme park in itself!
